Novi Sad

Numerous and various historical and cultural monuments of Novi Sad are on the streets and squares in the old center of the town, that is also commercial and tourist center of the city and a pedestrian zone which stretches for about 500 meters.

Trg Slobode (Liberty Square) is the largest central city square, built in the 18th century. On the edges of the square are the buildings from the end of the 19th and early 20th century. Square has always been a place to celebrate important events in the history of the city, as well as a meeting place for people and location where numerous manifestations were held.

In the middle of the square is the monument of Svetozar Miletic, casted in bronze. Together with marble stand it is seven meters high. The monument is work of Ivan Mestrovic and it was positioned twice to the same place. For the first time 1939th year, during World War II when the occupier had intended to remove the monument, but it was hidden by the citizens. After the liberation at 1944, the monument was returned to its original position.

Belgrade

Belgrade the capital of serbia, you can find a lot of interesting things like:

  1. Kalemegdan Fortress
  2. National Assembly of Serbia
  3. Stari Dvor and Novi Dvor
And many others places that you can visit. This places above are the places that I had already visited before.

Kalemegdan Fortress

Kalemegdan Fortress (or Belgrade Fortress) stands at the meeting of the Danube and Sava rivers and is one of the largest symbols of the Serbian capital. The Fortress is located in Kalemegdan Park and is one of the clearest legacies of the country's long history. It began to be built in the 19th century by the Romans and suffered attacks and devastations by the Goths, Huns, Avars and Slavs peaple.

National Assembly of Serbia

The Serbian political system is based on the principle of separation of authority between the executive, legislative and judicial. The holder of legislative authority, the National Assembly – the representative body of 250 members who are elected in direct elections using the proportional electoral system, by voting for the electoral list and the distribution of parliamentary seats in proportion to the number of votes the electoral lists received.
The judicial authority consists of the Constitutional Court, which has 15 judges, chosen by the National Assembly, then the regular courts and the prosecution. National Bank of Serbia is responsible for monetary policy of the state.

Stari Dvor and Novi Dvor

Stari Dvor and Novi Dvor were palaces built respectively for the royal families Obrenović and Karađorđević. Stari Dvor, or Old Palace, dates from the 1880s and features Beaux-Arts architectural style. Today, the Palace houses the Belgrade City Hall. Novi Dvor, or New Palace, was made in a historicist / revival style and completed in 1922 after damage from World War I. The Palace is currently the residence of the President of Serbia.
